A discount calculator answers two questions: how much do I save, and what will I pay? Final price = original price × (1 − discount ÷ 100). A ₹2,499 item at 30% off saves ₹749.70 and costs ₹1,749.30. Stacked discounts are a common trap. 20% off followed by an extra 10% off is not 30% off; the second discount applies to the already reduced price, so the total is 28%.
