Temperature Converter — Free Online

Temperature is the one common conversion that is not a simple multiplication, because the scales have different zero points. Fahrenheit = Celsius × 9/5 + 32, and Kelvin = Celsius + 273.15. That offset is why doubling a Celsius value does not double the Fahrenheit value, and why the two scales cross at exactly -40. This converter handles all three directions instantly. Useful reference points: water freezes at 0 °C (32 °F, 273.15 K) and boils at 100 °C (212 °F) at sea level, normal body temperature is about 37 °C (98.6 °F), and a 180 °C oven is 356 °F. Kelvin never goes negative, since 0 K is absolute zero.
